XVII. On Infinity

1. O God, who art infinite
in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!
whoever forgets You commits evil.
 
2. God is infinite in His existence
and infinite in His operation
by virtue of generation and spiration.[1]
 
3. Infinity can only exist
in a singularity
wherein resides no quantity.
 
4. God is infinite in goodness,
by virtue of the bonifier and the bonified,
<both of which are> eternified by bonifying.
 
5. Were infinitising not to exist in God,
His power could not fulfil
our desires by means of infinity.
 
6. Power, wisdom and will
are infinite in the unity
of nature and deity.[2]
 
7. God the Father infinitely
infinitises the Son extensively
without quantity or movement.
 
8. To infinitise pertains to infinity
without which <such infinitising> would be finite
in terms of power, time and quantity.
 
9. It is pleasing to consider
the infinitising of understanding and loving
in an eternity without end.
 
10. Whoever loves moveable finitude
more than unmoved infinitude
is extremely foolish and ungrateful.
